A NEWBIE
I’m a very new affiliate marketer working online from home. After twenty plus years in the rat race of corporate America, I retired. I had dreamed of owning my own business. I bought a retail store with my corporate retirement money . For seven years I toiled 24/7 to keep that store running smoothly. Eventually, I got bored and retired from that endeavor.
I knew that Internet marketing was the wave of the future. New millionaires were making their fortunes on the Internet and most were making their money at home. I saw it all around me. I was intrigued. It fired my imagination. I decided that Internet Marketing was for me. I jumped in.
Imagine my confusion and anxiety when I did my due diligence research… HTML code, domain names, hosting, domain forwarding, and many, many more terms and concepts that I knew nothing about. I could have gone to a college or university and learn. But I’ve been there, done that. Besides, I’m retired!
GETTING STARTED
I asked a friend if he could help me get started in the Internet industry. He had just sold his at-home, web based business for nearly $1,000,000. He said that he had been looking for another opportunity on the Internet. Surfing the Internet he found an Internet training club.
I followed his recommendation. I reasoned that if he, a seasoned marketer, found this training useful and profitable, I would too. An added plus was the fact that they offered a 60-day money back guarantee. Therefore, no risk to me! I joined the club. After all, you go to school to learn a profession or trade. Why is online marketing any different?
It was a good tutorial but expensive. Later, I found a free version of the same information (most all coaching programs give the same information).
FIRST WEEK
As I said, I didn’t know anything about web pages, domain names, hosting, HTML code, or any of the other countless terms used by Internet marketers. Yet, in less than one week I created my first website without learning HTML and without having to pay for special software or hosting. You can too! I am now marketing products online and starting to make money. I am now, officially, an Internet marketer working at home! If I can do it, you can.
Learning a new business by trial and error is the hard way. Knowledge eliminates the fear of the unknown. There are many training and coaching clubs online to help you get started. Find one that will provide you with the mentoring, knowledge, and online support that you are comfortable with. I did. One that will walk you through step-by-step. Remember to test drive whatever you choose before you commit. I found one. Without it, I would still be floundering, surfing the Internet not knowing exactly how and where to start, stumbling along the way. Try it!
GET RICH QUICK SCHEMES
I can’t and won’t lie and tell you that I have made thousands of dollars since I first started. How could I? I just started. Recall that I knew nothing, literally nothing, about the behind the scenes workings of the Internet. I knew how to email and how to surf the Internet. But that was it. An old dog learning new tricks!
The sincerity and thoroughness of my mentor training program inspired and prompted me to action. You owe it to yourself to give online training/coaching a try. In the long and short run your investment will significantly reduce your learning curve and you start making money faster! And, potentially with a little effort loads of it! But nothing replaces action, except maybe desire. You’ve got to jump in and do it.
I have bought and used several internet marketing tutorials and I have found Affiliorama to be the best by far for the money, because it is FREE! They do have paid memberships, Premium and Affiloblueprint, but for a beginner the FREE version has many tutorials that will get you started on the right track.
